Oct. 3rd was the JDRF walk in Sacramento. We drove down from the mountains, in the rain, in the dark, to the walk where it was sunny with beautiful clouds. Our dear friends drove 3 hours that morning to walk with us. There must have been several thousand people walking. Energy and enthusiasm filled the air. It was a very enjoyable morning and a lovely afternoon with our friends.

What a great day! Thousands of people? That is awesome! I hope the Golden Gate walk has a good turn out. :)
ReplyDeleteAWWW...Looks like so much fun Alix. Glad the Walk had such a great turn out. After yesterdays events...I am that much more determined to Advocate and Educate. We need a cure.
ReplyDeleteoh yes reyna, the energy there was so amazing that one could not help but to want to educate and advocate. our friends (non-d) want to raise money next year for tyler's team and walk. my friends children were really moved.
ReplyDeletei could not believe the turnout, utterly inspiring!
Do I have to cry the entire month of October with all the Walks? Well, it's worth it. What a fabulous thing to be able to empower our children to help fund the Cure. Mo
